Main Street Sidewalk Replacement Project
Today the Contractor installed sidewalk forms, new underdrain piping, and backfilled the new underdrain in front of the cemetery at 34 Main Street. They also removed the existing sidewalk and pavement in the second half of the driveway for Second Gen Auto.
Tomorrow the Contractor install gravel and sidewalk forms, and pour new sidewalk in the driveway for Second Gen Auto. They will also pour 100 feet of new sidewalk in front of the cemetery at 34 Main Street. If they have time, they will continue to install gravel subbase and sidewalk forms in front of the cemetery at 34 Main Street.
Now that the Contractor has installed seed and hay mulching, I will ask residents to please water your lawns to help the grass growth.
Tomorrow Main Street may be reduced to alternating one-way traffic while equipment or material is being delivered or removed from the site. Traffic control will be in-place to help direct traffic.
The contractor provides the best prediction of their next work cycle. Please keep in mind that construction is a fluid process, and sometimes plans must change based on weather, conditions found in the field, or other factors.
